Dr Julius Itunga

CPA Dr. Julius Itunga is a highly experienced strategic leader with over 25 years of experience in leadership positions in strategic public sector institutions. He is a visionary leader committed to excellence in service delivery. Dr Itunga is an Independent Member of the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) Pension Fund Board of Trustees, where he also serves as Chairman of the Risk and Audit Committee.

Previously, he served as Chief Executive Officer at the Water Services Regulatory Board and as Director, Corporate Services. He was the founding Director, Finance and Administration at the National Biosafety Authority, and earlier served as Financial Controller at the Agricultural Development Corporation and held senior management positions at Telkom Kenya Limited.

He has also worked as a part-time lecturer at California Miramar University, St. Paul’s University, Kenya Methodist University and Mount Kenya University, where he successfully supervised postgraduate students and published extensively in refereed journals. He is a co-author of two academic books.

He has served as Chairman of the Catholic Diocese of Ngong Finance Council, Executive Member of the Eastern and Southern Africa Water & Sanitation Regulators Association (ESAWAS), and Executive Member of the Catholic University of Eastern Africa Alumni Association.

Dr Itunga is a strategy and finance specialist with a bias in leadership and governance.
